The Williams cheek piece allows for multiple rein positions
- the center ring acts as a loose ring
- the bottom ring promotes poll pressure
The mouthpiece runs quickly up the center pin, and releases extra fast. The Williams cheek piece encourages flexion and helps to prevent drifting.
A horse shaking its head when bit pressure is applied or trying to put its tongue over the bit are classic signs the horse has a sensitive tongue. With this in mind the McHardy was created, it has a medium port creating space for the tongue, relieving pressure. The Buster Roller in the middle increases bar pressure and as a result extends the head and brings the nose in giving more control.
Consideration should be given to horses with fleshy mouths where increased width is necessary in order for the bit to be well accepted. A good choice for a fast paced discipline.
